As part of our well-being aspect of Caribbean Culture Day, we have embraced the community spirit by trying to help in finding a donor for Hilary and  others in need.

This is Hillary. She has big dreams of being a Rockstar.  She is always singing. She has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, an extremely rare and fatal disease, if left untreated. She is truly one in a million. She likely needs a bone marrow transplant as a life-saving treatment. With the swab of a cheek, you can find out if you're a match for one of 800 patients in Canada currently looking for a match like Hillary.  Younger, male donors provide the best patient outcomes, but females are welcome to register also. All donors must be between 17-35 years old to join the stem cell registry in Canada.

If you are a match, the procedure is safe with no lasting effects. It's time to give everyone an equal chance at life.
